We are delighted to welcome Paul Colgan, Editor of news.com.au to our panel. Paul will share how the 'digital wave' has changed the way News Limited delivers news and captures online audiences. Paul will also discuss ways news.com.au is becoming increasingly 'social', inviting readers to engage with the site through Facebook, Twitter and sharing tools.
Joining Paul on the panel is Louise Pogmore, Expression Director, Naked who will share tips on online engagement and creating successful brand communities online. Louise recently picked up a PRIA award for a highly successful outreach program with Australia's top fashion bloggers to launch Oroton's online store, The Studio.
David McGowan, Business Director, Nomad will also discuss the latest trends to emerge in the mobile marketing space and how marketers can capitalise on the growth of mobile devices - such as smartphones and iPads. Nomad recently worked with Taronga Zoo to create a 'treasure hunt' app for kids, helping them navigate their way around the zoo using an iPhone.

Paul Colgan is a News Ltd journalist who specialises in digital editing and innovations. He started his career as reporter and sub-editor for his local newspaper in Ireland, later working as a freelancer and then joining the Dublin bureau of The Sunday Times as a news reporter in 1999. Over the following years he covered transport, health, and legal affairs for the Irish edition of the paper.
Paul arrived in Sydney in 2003 and joined news.com.au, working as a reporter and later chief of staff before being appointed deputy editor, leading coverage of major stories and developing journalism innovations. From January 2009 to October 2010 he was managing editor of The Punch, News Ltd's online commentary website. He was involved in developing the concept and launching the site, and wrote regularly for it on politics and popular culture.
In November 2010 he was appointed editor of news.com.au.
