Preya McMahonFounder and Managing Director, Zing
Preya has more than 25 years PR experience both here in Australia and in the US specialising in FMCG, youth and lifestyle & health brands. Preya worked in NY at Edelman, and several Sydney agencies before founding Zing in 2000. Zing is renowned for being a creative PR agency and has been in operation for over ten years. In this time Zing has become one of Australia's leading PR agencies working with brands like Coca-Cola, Telstra, Kellogg's, American Express and Rabo Bank. Besides PR, Zing has a digital division, experiential division and has design and video services in-house. In 2005 Preya opened the first overseas Zing office in Los Angeles and followed that with the New York office in 2006. The Zing US business is growing rapidly and represents both Australian brands like Seafolly and Wish as well as a number of US and UK brands.
In 2008/09 Zing Australia was named B&T's PR agency of the year. Zing was awarded the accolade in part because of its pioneering approach to online PR. Since then they have continued to excel in the digital space not only incorporating blogger outreach into all their campaigns, but also devising integrated PR campaigns that hinge on digital. Two of the most recent and most noteworthy are a Money Tree social experiment for RaboDirect and the launch of Sushi Plane for Telstra.
Dennis KoutoulogenisCreative Director, BMF
Despite completing Economics (Honours) and Law degrees, and 4 years' practice as a solicitor, DK realised he still wasn't very good at it. So, much to his parents' chagrin, he traded the yellow legal pad for the bleedproof art pad of the copywriter. He worked at VCD, mojopartners and Batey/Red Cell, before joining BMF in 2003.
In his time at BMF, DK has been responsible for numerous, very successful campaigns, including the Sam Kekovich "unAustralian" campaign for Lamb, which has become one of best-loved Australian advertising campaigns of recent times. As Creative Director, his responsibilities also include Beef, Schweppes (Solo and Cool Ridge Spring Water) and Football Federation Australia.
During his advertising career, DK has picked up awards at D&AD, Cannes, One Show, New York Festivals, London International, AWARD and all of the major local shows. He has judged a number of local and international awards, and has lectured and tutored on numerous occasions at AWARD School, Copy School, AFA AdSchool and at the Caxton Awards.
Pascal WinklerDigital Business Director, Host
Having a background in traditional advertising - working on blue chip brands in Europe and Australia - Pascal Winkler got hooked on digital about five years ago.
Today he is a Digital Business Director at Host, responsible for digital strategy on a range of clients including Air New Zealand, Levi's, Coke and Vodafone. Pascal has also helped build the social media team across Host and One Green Bean.
